Hey Guys, Hope everyone is well.

I drive a 2022 XLT and wanted to check if anyone on here has backups or if there are a repository anywhere on the interwebs where i could download the stock module configs.

I was really stupid to make changes on some of my modules without making a backup 1st.

You help to point me in the right direction will really be appreciated.

Probably wrong but I'm pretty sure the backup files would be tied to the vin and can't be shared.

As far as I know engine modules and so on but the rest should be straigh forward.
I'll look into it after work if I can remember, pretty sure I made a couple backups.

I have a 2wd xl/stx so not sure if everything would be compatible.

Forscan will read your vin and pull your as builts for restore. Google it there are a few videos on it.

Here is a good link
https://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17208
you will run into an error see #4

Common issues:

(i) FORScan will show all blocks of data in the module. Not all of these blocks are configuration, some may be module internal data that are not a part of As-Built. It is not necessary to back it up, because module will create these data by itself.

(ii) Factory .AB file may not contain all the configuration blocks available in the vehicle. If the number of blocks in .AB file doesn’t match the number of blocks in the module, a warning message will appear. It is recommended to move forward and complete the writing.

You can download As Built files from:
Index - FordServiceInfo.Com (motorcraftservice.com)
Type in your VIN number and download
all files
This is the same files Forscan uses.
You can view as HTML, but downloaded it is a (AB) File, which Forscan will read but if you just open it, it's jibberish as you will need to convert the AB file, I think some use text editor.
I tried doing this and it wound not sort the files to make any sense of it, so I did it the hard way and manually transposed the file into an easy-to-read Excell.

I printed the HTML, then transposed that file to Excell Spreadsheet. Any changes I make are noted on the spreadsheet, including easy mode as I also note all Hex Lines that change along with it.
Plus, all changes are Highlighted -Green
I also enhanced the Spreadsheet by using VINs from online sales (Ford Dealers) and included various Trim levels to note any differences between them.
This is how I obtained exactly what changes were done for My ASS Delete from factory and the dreaded LED Headlamp delete, by side by side compare of 21 and 22 Lariat without E-Locker as a example.
and as a paper back-up, I have my Maintenance Record Book, anything I do to any vehicle I own gets documented.

You gents are all legends. I came right with the As Build Doc download.

Thanks guys.

@airline tech

I'd be very interested to see your doc so I can compare whats different from our SA models to your US models.
