I thought the OD was locked, where you cannot make changes to it. I know when the dealership replaced my cluster they kept the vehicle for 3 days trying to reset the OD. They had to call someone in Ford to figure it out. I believe the safety features are in place so you cant roll back the mileage upon sailing the unit. Ofcourse I could certainly be wrong.
You can add miles but not reverse them, that’s why you get a cluster with less miles

Thats very interesting, so if you get a cluster with less miles then its the same as a roll back. If you are not honest about it anyway. Do the clusters not have a serial number to match the other corresponding modules? Like a hard drive in your computer when its registered?

Whether your honest or not if you don’troll them forward the BCM will always have the correct miles
