Best way to cut out the knockout in rear bumper plastic for the ford 4/7 pin connector??? See everyone adding the hitch, wiring pigtail, and connector with part numbers for all but no suggestions on cutting out the plastic from the bumper. Knife, dremel, etc. What's the best way tip make the cleanest cut?

A lot of the parts for this addition are totally backordered. There are threads on the forum with part numbers though, and pictures where people cut the knockout and added the trailer pigtail aftermarket.

The receiver seems to be the latest part to be backordered for eternity.

I'd use a hacksaw blade or an exacto knife and just trim the excess after getting the whole thing cut out.

I have all the parts. Ready to do install, just wondering best way to cut the plastic piece out of the bumper for the 4/7 pin connector

I used a retracting razor blade knife. Just cut from the back side as the indentation is there.

Someone mentioned heating a utility knife so it would cut easier.

Dremel tool. Used a cutting blade for a rough cut then a sanding wheel to fine tune. Took all of 10 minutes to do.

I used a drill and drilled touching holes all the way around, then cleaned it with fresh box cutter. I just went slow and carefully, the biggest problem was getting it to lock in. That took some bending and fitting.
