How many have gap issues regarding the seams on the body? Check them and note if there are issues or not. On the right side of my hood the seam opens up about a 1/4" toward the front. Minor but still there are fit and finish issues with some trucks

Ford said they would try to fix it by adjusting the fender and bumper.....I don't want them messing with it so I can live with it, Not a big deal but coming from Tacomas, the seam fit on these trucks are not as uniform.

My "issue" Hood gap widens toward the front about 1/4" with zero overlaps. I have seen some trucks with Overlap of the hood and fender. That would be an issue for me to get resolved,

Maybe I'm not discerning enough, but I don't see any fitment issues on my truck.

I have to say that i am very happy with all the panel gaps on my Ranger. On my 2015 Mustang i had a couple variable gaps and a crooked rear glass.

Everything looks good to me. No noticeable alignment issues.

Bed and hood are misaligned for me, small but noticeable. I think I can live with it though

Mine was built on Wednesday (good day) and asides from a small patch of paint issue on one rear door, all gaps seems pretty good...check and see if yours was built on Monday or Friday:wink:

Does that play today?
Some plants are open 7 days a week with employees working with different days off.

Gaps seem OK, but the road noise coming in the right rear door is very aggravating!
I have the same problem, very hard to ignore. Could it be tire noise? Seems like it gets quieter on smooth asphalt roads.

Could very well be the first Ranger I test drove was a XLT FX4 and the tire noise was really loud to me. My XLT 4x4 with standard suspension and tires aren't loud at all.

I picked up my White Platinum Metallic Lariat a few days ago and just did a close inspection of door alignment, panel alignment, gaps and paint quality. Everything was great. I have to commend the plant paint and finish people (and probably paint robots) for the quality of my Ranger.

I've never seen a better paint job on any vehicle except maybe the occasional show car although I never looked at a show car this carefully. I went over my truck twice including the top and door jambs with a flashlight and could not find a paint flaw. There were no fisheyes, no runs, no noticeable uneven metallic finish, and no transport damage. I don't have a paint thickness gage but the finish appears to be perfect.

My 2004 Corvette was not even close in fit and finish and it cost me much more 15 years ago than this $45,000 truck. I'll probably be very depressed when my Ranger gets its first scratch.

I look forward to it having as good long term mechanical quality.
