Anyone tried these yet? About ready to pull the trigger on a leveling kit and was looking at doing 255/75r17 destination AT which I’ve had on several vehicles before and noticed they now have an XT which looks a little more aggressive. Just curious if anyone has ran them and how they behave/last

Had great luck with Firestone Destination tires on past vehicles and they’ll be on my short list when the time comes for new shoes on the Ranger. I’ll have to look into these XTs.

I’ve had the AT on 4 different vehicles myself and my uncle has had a few sets on the smaller trucks, they have always been good, should probably just stick to what I know for a truck that’s going to be on the road 90% of the time unless someone can praise these but it seems they are still new

There is one member on here that has them in 285/70-17 on the stock wheels and no spacers(with a lift of course) and ther little to no rubbing.

I just installed the Destination X/T’s today. Went with 255/75/17 on the stock wheels and the Ford/Fox level kit. Plenty of room at the crash bars. I took it out to the desert for a quick test and no rub at all.

How do you like the tires themselves? This is what I wanted to go with but was more curious about road noise and longtivity of them compared to destination AT, and maybe any mpg drop although not overly worried about that

They don’t seem any more noisy than the Bridgestones that came off it. Ride is smooth on road. Will have to see on durability and wear since they only went on today.
so far I haven’t seen any performance loss going to a taller tire. Part of that is that these are lighter than other tires in the same size range.

I've had the X/Ts for a few months and am very happy with them. They have a nice ride, no road noise that I've noticed, and as a bonus, are great in the snow!

Did you update your spare tire also? Just wondering if it would fit in the area for the spare.

I haven’t upgraded the spare yet. When I went to the Firestone store they only had 4 of the X/T’s in the new size I was going to. My understanding though is that a 32 inch will fit.

Those look really nice. Better looking than the A/T2 although a bit heavier. Couple questions for you? Why did you go with the 255/75R17 instead of the 265/70R17? And how have they impacted your fuel mileage? Thanks!

255/75s are like half an inch taller and slightly narrower so they will have a little less rolling resistance, I haven’t had a big hit in fuel although I’m still trying to figure out a way to correct my speedo, off by like 4 mph at 75

I ended up going with what I know, the ATs,since most of my stuff is highway id be pissed if I spent the money on tires and weren’t quite happy with them because I love these
