Hello fellow 5gers! Just wanted to share a mod I did to lower IATs due to air box heat soak in stop and go traffic / city driving. I observed for several months via my Procal 4 that once my factory air box became heat soaked (from either being parked when going into a store or in stop/go city conditions) IATs would stay a solid 20 deg above ambient temp. Temps upon initial startup would be 30+ deg over ambient. With hwy driving and accompanying airflow heat soak would diminish after a few min of driving , so I wanted to do what I could to keep IATs lower during city driving too. I used this product from Home Depot to create a removable blanket accordingly.

I have been pleased with the results. When returning to my truck after shopping in a store or something like that initial IATs on startup are 15+ deg cooler and in city driving I now get within 5-7 deg over ambient. Overall I’m pleased and just wanted to share. Thanks for reading!
