ARP makes studs that typically are stronger than O.E. studs. You can also order them longer. However, you can't really go with HD studs since they would need to be a larger diameter.

The Ranger and the Bronco share the same wheel stud, so its possible ARP may come out with a set for the Bronco, but I ordered a stud from my local dealer to measure knurl etc to see if I can find something in the ARP catalog that will work.

Not necessarily larger diameter but made with stronger material.

Ordered an OEM stud from ford, got it today and measured the knurl and sent the measurements to ARP. They told me if I provide the measurements they will let me know if they have anything that will work.

I measured the knurl at .505 and found a set of moser studs-

Wheel Studs, Press-In, 12mm x 1.5 x 2 1/2 in.
Right Hand Thread, .505 in. Knurl, Set of 10

Not overly expensive so I ordered some from summit to look at and compare to the stock stud.

Just in case ARP doesnt have anything.

Ill update again when I have more info.

Here is what I got from ARP-

Hi Dylin,

Please find attached kits I found that may work.

The knurling is the same at .509” just the UHL will vary and the choice of a bullet nose at the end or not.
If your hub/axle holes are cast iron make sure that they are within .493-.503”diameter.

Best regards,
Sean Lipsett

Ordered a set of front hub/bearing assemblies from Levittown, should arrive next week so I can pop the oem studs out and measure the holes.

Got the Moser studs today, below is a pic of the Moser stud next to the oem stud-

That’s awesome. I’m gonna order some as well. I’d really like to find studs with the bull nose end in them but the extended studs make it so much easier to mount wheels, especially in the trail.

Alrighty, finally got around to getting something done. Got the extended studs in. I wanted to press them in, but I ended up just using my impact gun and a stud install spacer-

Ill probably put these hubs in when I upgrade the front suspension next month. Stay tuned.
