It makes some odd noises, but no rattle when cold.

Being a diesel, there is hopefully another down under owner that can comment. N. American Ranger is petrol only

did this just start happening or has it always behaved this way?
most engines sound a bit different after getting up to temp. diesels tend to have loud injection systems and more pronounced rhythm than gas engines.

It’s diesel and always been like it but thought some 1 might of had it and fixt the problem,I have had someone say glow plugs

could be fuel injection issue . possibly not timed perfectly so its making a bit more noise than normal?
