So after I finished doing my oil change today, I did a few revs of the engine and noticed it was making a pretty loud “clicking” type noise. I took a video of it and it’s pretty noticeable.

Could you have moved something a little and now it's vibrating ?
Sounds like valve train maybe? Got one of those car stethoscopes ?

Hopefully you didn't stick a funnel down in there and bend a baffle plate hitting the cam.

I did stick a funnel down there but I didn’t add much pressure. Damn now I’m worried lol

Yep, no funnel or paper funnels only.

Wouldn't you hear the noise while giving it gas too and not just when letting off?

Dunno, but what can go wrong doing an oil change? As long as it's not on the ground. Could a metal object been stuck inside the funnel no knowing? hmmm.
I always use flood mode when doing the fresh oil start up.

I just hear the hpfp normal noises and what sounds like the electronic throttle control opening and closing. Maybe a mix of the variable goemetry turbo actuator.

As far as those wondering, the funnel was clean of debris before I used it. I inspected it. But, I did not know we are not supposed to use funnel on these trucks. Oil used is 5W-30.

i hear that unusual thump or click after the rev, but it does not sound metallic like inside the engine. Maybe it is normal and we never hear it since most of us do not listen closely with the hood open ? Throttle cable or pulley sound if it was an older truck. on my 4g its got the throttle cable and spring setup right on top and you can hear it easily if you abruptly lift off the go pedal. the sound im hearing in the clip reminds me of that.

ok so gotta ask, is it really that easy to damage this engine by using a funnel to put oil in ?! if it is i need a new approach. Ive always just put the big funnel in the oil fill spot and plopped the oil in the top and let it dump in... Hopefully i didnt mess up stuff already.

i would run it hard, get a new motor under warranty. it should blow up sooner than later.
but be careful....you got the one piece drive shaft right???
they might deny warranty because of all the mods.
Well like a typical Canadian you are, pretty useless lol…
