So, excuse the dummy here, but can you use your forscan license for more than one car? I have ford flex as a work vehicle and think it would be neat to mess with settings on that too, lol. Just ordered my adapter and waiting on forscan forum to approve me. Thanks in advance.

The free trial only lasts for a couple of weeks or a couple of months and there are some things you can't do unless and get the full open Edition. You'll also get an activation key and a Forscan key you might already have. For 10 bucks, it's well worth it with all it can do

There are alot of videos on youtube that explain everything. Once you do it 1 time, its cake from that point.

so here is a copy and paste of Forscan text, also a screen shot. My question is- if i only want to toggle off or on certain OEM features (kill all horn honks, enable Bambi mode, adjust my speedometer, kill the fake engine noise etc) do these items require the extended license ? in other words are they considered module configuration,AS BUILT, central config or module reset /config? I do not mind buying license if i have to but i don't want to waste the money if i do not need it. I ordered the module off Amazon, should arrive soon, i have yet to download the windows software.

Service -> PATS Programming
Configuration and Programming -> Module Configuration
Configuration and Programming -> Module Configuration(AS BUILT format)
Configuration and Programming -> Central Configuration
Configuration and Programming -> Module Reset/Configuration (required to learn central configuration changes related to these modules)

All the rest functions do not require an Extended License!

Basically, if you want to make any changes such as those you mentioned you need an extended license. Without the extended license about all your can do is check and reset error codes that turn on the check engine light.

You can sign up for a free 2 month extended license or you can buy longer ones. Your choice, but we'll worth it. Cheap and support continued development.

And the license is NOT tied to your truck so you can use it on any Ford vehicle.
