What is a "chalk test"?
As I said old school . Take a piece of chalk and run a line across the trie tread (all 4). Drive about 50 ft. ( on concrete or asphalt) See if the line is worn off even. If the line is in the middle and not on the edge, tire psi is too low. If the middle but on no edges psi is to high. In my F150 the rear trie psi was always lower for good tire wear. When I haul or two I increase the psi. The lower when I am done. I plan on doing my at work was I live in the country

Interesting - never heard of that tactic before. Sometimes old school is the "best school". :)

Looks like Ford is talking to their buyback team on my truck.

I thought they could just fix it... not sure I want to give it back!

Be careful what you ask for I guess.

If Ford wants to buy it back and you like the truck otherwise, let them take it and get another one. You sure sounded royally pissed off before...can't believe you would want to keep it.

Some updates on this case... Ford denied my buyback request..
So, I'm taking the truck to another ford dealership. Already took it to this dealer and they said the "won't fix it" its "within spec". A little pressure from Ford Customer Care and this time they are going to take it to their body shop and measure the frame...

pretty easy to measure from the ground to the reflectors...

You can clearly see its 1/2 inch different.. Dealership consistently states its "within spec" -

REALLY??? where is the spec that says it's OK to sit 1/2 crooked on one side?

12 mm is .47 inches according to google. So just about a half inch. If that is true, then it does appear to basically be within spec.

Well, I'm clearly not happy with the "Spec" - I measured a few other Rangers, they were 1/8 different. I'd be happy with that..

Mine is just so visually noticeable, it pisses me off... maybe its me, ADD, ADHD, whatever, but it's not cool..

Mine is roughly the same (1/2" different) but I can't notice it.

Right? But the dealership doesn’t measure to the ground. They measure something to something and said it’s ok
..... Sounds like measuring the air space between their ears.

Time for a new and more honest dealer.

They wouldn't get another nickle from me.

was just gonna comment on that.

clearly out of the 8mm spec.
I just measured mine, about 1/2in lower on the drivers side. I never noticed it?

The dealer is not measuring "something to something" and should make it clear to you where they are measuring.
Doesn't the specification you posted a picture of make it clear? The reflector likely has a build up of tolerances so that is a poor choice, measure from level ground to the frame.
