Hi all, searched for don’t see this answer. Apologies if I missed it. (And I am using my phone so it’s possible.)

Replacing the DPFE seems to be all too common for the 5G Ranger. What about the Bronco and Mustang? Are they having the same issue with the 2.3?

There’s one on our 22 Escape PHEV. Haven’t had any issues but also very low engine hours. And those hours are pretty much all highway driving. But have seen a few with issues on the Escape forum.

Some of us (raising my hand) drive our trucks like an old man. Others run the snot out of them. Is it only us "putt putters" having this issue? Or, are the lead foots seeing it to?

When it seems like that particular sensor has acted up on mine, it's just randomly between 30 and 50 mph. And to quote Freiburger, "when you know the problem, you can ignore the problem, and drive through the problem, so I just drive through it.
(I'm liable to get hate mail for this one.) Lol 😁🤘

I hear ya! Some problems I can simply turn up the radio and drown them out. But the shuddering at low speed with minimal throttle induced shudder…. Nope. I had to fix that. Had too. My blue baby deserves nothing less.
