Do I need Forscan? k

I want to upgrade my audio system by adding a amp and subwoofer and upgrading the factory speakers.
I have pretty much everything
-LC7I
-RF Prime 500XD1
-Kicker Subwoofer
-Kicker 4 channel amp
RF R165 speakers (4)

My question is do need to make changes using Forscan? I don't have the Premium package stereo system. Also I the Carav t-harness. Any advise or help is greatly appreciated.

If your truck has the fake engine noise that plays through the speakers you might want to disable that with forscan. Otherwise you'll hear it through the subwoofer.

No, it appears to be just plain Jane basic system. I have looked for the factory amp rear driver side have not seen one.
