So I’m currently looking at the 3” sst lift! Do I need to upgrade my control arms? As well do I need to drop my front diff if I go with a 3” lift?

or would I be able to upgrade those parts at a later date?

I put an Eibach kit on my truck set to 3.75" of lift on stock control arms. I have a heavy winch bumper installed, and it squashed it down about 1/4" to 1/2". I've been out on one off-road trip so far and everything worked flawlessly. But, I wasn't running high speed over obstacles. All the stuff we did was slow with spotters.

that is what I was looking for! I won’t be doing anything crazy so that works for me. At least knowing I can hold off for bit. Thanks for the quick response

Good to know. How does the truck ride/drive on pavement, especially the highway, with that setup? Enjoy!

The Eibachs firmed up the ride PERFECTLY. With the stock FX4 shocks and struts, I actually hit an expansion strip on the interstate that caused some wild gyrations in my truck. On the same interstate, NOTHING. It feels sportscar firm when I need it to, and it's comfortable for cruising. The only thing I'm really lacking is bigger tires.

I have the old man emu lift on my truck with trace the front by 2.4 in and the rear by 1.6 in and I still have a stock control arms. I have been off-road plenty and have not had any issues with it. Would they possibly help out? Possible but it isn't exactly a need.

Awesome thanks for the in out. Now I need to decide to stick with stock 18s for now than move to 18” aftermarket wheels or move to 17” all together

If you are planning to go offroad I would recommend going to a 17 inch wheel. Reason being you get more sidewall to work with and have less chance of messing the tire up(with a proper off road tire that is). Could you do ut with an 18 inch wheel? Yes you can but that is the biggest I would recommend. A smaller wheel would be your freind in this situation.
