I decided against the $200 plastic pieces for now, and since I had put on my front paint protection (pre cut 3m vinyl) that it would be easy to do the door sills. Already had a couple small scratches, and didn't want any more. Ordered a 84x6inch roll of the 3M Pro protection film, measured and cut. Wet applied and it's almost invisible!

Let me see if I can cut this in my Cameo, if so, I could pre-cut and sell some kits. They have some on Ebay, but it's either fake carbon fiber or whatever, whereas this stuff just blends in.

Thanks! I have the Blue Carbon Fiber look vinyl on my Lightening Blue Ranger and it looks OK. Would really like the transparent version that you created!

This is awesome, great job! I have the very shiny metal plates on all 4 door sills of my Lariat FX4 with the Ranger badging on them. I was thinking about cutting a piece of this stuff to protect those, and then protect the sill as well. Do you think that would work? I have no idea why Ford thinks it's a good idea to put something so freaky shiny/susceptible to scratching on a door sill that will absolutely be scratched at some point.

So, are you gonna be selling sets of this? I’m in if the price is right!

It’s easy to do. I do like the salted cuts on the ends. Just buy a roll of 6” 3M and get your Olfa rolling cutter out. Did mine and they turned out great.

I'd suggest just goin on Amazon or Ebay and getting a 6x84inch roll of the stuff. 3M ScotchGuard Pro Paint Film. Use a nice SHARP knife or roller cutter. I used a vinyl adhesive promoter, but a spray bottle with a few drops of mild soap, water and ISO Alcohol does the same thing. Stuff is pretty easy to work with when wet.

Is this product flexible and does it adhere well enough to continue down over the curves towards the rocker panels ?
I don't know, but I just ordered skateboard grip tape that I can cut up to fit and I know that stuffs sticky and flexable.

I like your patterns, wanted something similar after noticing I'm scuffing my door sills. I bought this, and after realizing it's not long enough cheaped out and just slapped it on for now. I'll order more in the future for a prettier more functional job.
