Looks good John - where did you wire them to? Side markers?
Yes , just pop out the front marker light (you tube it) and splice into the wires. I ran the wires under the wheel well and down to the running boards

What would be better/different would be to tap into the courtesy light circuit, then they would act like puddle lamps…..hmmmmm.

anyone know which fuse that is? For dome lights?

dont know the fuse, but the Lariat puddle lights and cargo lights are on the same circuit.

I commend the creativity. In return I offer something better if you are after adding puddle style lighting for your step bars. LED license plate style lights will give you a downward projection vs. straight out.

Can add a spray tint to the lens to suit your taste (smoked, amber, etc etc)

But if I tie to side markers, the puddle lights would be on when headlights are on too. I think. ?

correct, my running board lights are on when the headlights are on as well, if you want them only on with the puddle lights, then yes you would need to splice into the courtesy lights
