Thats the battery monitor, it watches voltage to know when its safe for the truck to shut down with auto start/stop.

Quite possibly! But you also might get a DTC.So.... your saying if I unplug that....stop/start will not work

And your radio might complain that the voltage is low if you're trying to listen to it with the engine off.
