Completely disable the traction control the easy way

This is how we totally disable the tc system here at the ford dealership, no fuses to pull just unplug this connector near the battery and done, after you reconnect the plug all the lights will go out and that is it you are done .

I thought the button on the console did just that. Press once to disable the main portion of it and press and hold for a while to shut it completely off.

I recall something about Traction Control vs StabilI-Trac (maybe). Is this different?

my thought is when unplugged the computer has no chance of turning anything on and when you long press the button it can still turn on some of the nannies that could enable some of the tc functions

try it

But I read about the button thing here, in a thread on ranger5g, so it must be true, right? :wink:

Great! I am tired of long pressing the button every time I start it. Best thing would be to splice a switch into that wire and mount it in the dash. For rain, snow etc.

So, is that the same as pressing and holding the button?
TC turns back on if the wheel speed exceeds a certain limit
This sounds like it keeps everything off for uninterrupted donuts
