Was heading to work earlier then usual by about an hour (thanks standard time) and a big buck decided he was done with 2020. I hit him flush going 45-50. The deer was nowhere to be found once i parked and scouted for him. All things considered I am pretty happy with how the truck reacted to such an impact and it is still driveable. Luckily the airbags did not deploy. Should be fun to see what the total cost of repairs will be.

Oof. Glad you are not injured. Sad to see a beautiful ranger busted up. Best of luck with the repair process!

That sucks man. Gotta pay deductible, premiums rise and didn’t even have a fun time tearing it up. Hate it for you.

Yikes! Glad you're ok the truck can be fixed. When I was living back east I tagged one early in the morning too. I was driving my van and not the F150 and lucky the way he came out as he got the corner of the steel bumper. Bent it in a little and a small ding in the side but it sounded much worse echoing through the van at 5:50am. I was more mad he got away and I didn't get dinner out of it. ?

Damn sorry to see that, but... time to play... Guess the Estimate!

$4500.

The last deer I nailed was 2 vehicles ago in a plastic Saturn Vue SUV. It was January and super cold, like -10 that day. Hit the deer in the front quarter panel and side and in the cold my plastic car shattered into 5000 pieces of sparkly red confetti. The rear quarter panel was covered with deer sh1t. Apparently I nailed him so hard that it flew out of his butt and plastered the back of my car that wasn't wrecked. True story.

I call $5000....pisser it got away. I've seen deer go right up over a hood, slide out and run away.

Sorry to hear that. I put deer whistles on both our car & the truck. Don't know if they work but have had no encounters. Back in the 70s my dad hit 2 at the same time with his 74 Ford pickup that was 3600.00 then. One got away the other DOSOR.

The radar from the sides when backing out would be nice in front of the sides if it didn't pick up everything like a passing car. This pic attached was from the last deer crash I worked, I think it's a Sierra. Loaded was new, totaled it. Set off all the bags. Other wise it needs a windshield, radiator and core support.

Drove up I-85 into NC yesterday and was amazed at how many deer had been hit on the highway.

I would guess I saw close to 20.

A deer hit by a vehicle moving at 70-80 mph makes a BIG smear.

I can only imagine what it did to the vehicles.

OP, time for the ARB!
