I'm going to be down in Southern California for the last weekend of August and am planning on doing Cleghorn on Sunday the 30th with my buddy who has a Colorado. If anyone wants to join us, let me know if you're interested. Will post details as it gets closer.

Cleghorn can get a little dicey in spots, but is doable. I have done it many times, and even rolled a truck on it. ( It survived and still lives on. See avatar) Even convinced a guy to run it in a Crown Vic once:giggle:

I would suggest looking into Pilot Rock (East side of Silverwood), which is a little more tame but still has plenty off off shoots to play on if you feel the need for something tougher.

I'm in for a maybe. Lot going on between now and then.

Yeah, there's definitely a few off shoots I'll be skipping from videos I've seen. I've got to drive home the next day and am not trying to do anything crazy or add any new pinstriping and have no shame in staying on the fire road.

I like getting out with you all, BUT do not want to damage my truck (Just got the dealer dents out.). ;)

I'm spending a good chunk of change getting pinstriping dealt with today from an excursion a couple weeks ago where I had to back out on a narrow trail that did some pretty severe scratching because my buddy couldn't make it, so you're not alone. The main trail is a fire trail with lots of off shoots you can go on that are of various difficulty levels that reconnect to the fire trail, so feel free to come along, you can definitely do this without doing any damage to your truck.

what locations did your Ranger have dent at? My Ranger had 2 dents rear passenger doors ( going inward on passenger side, outward on driver side ).

We are planning on being there around 10 since it’ll be a little bit of a drive for us.

Passenger door on upper body line. Cab pillar just aft of the rear passenger door.

Less than a week away, who's planning on coming out on Sunday?

Was just out there this weekend, I'd be down to go again. The trail isn't too rough, there's a few sketchy spots, but even this non-locker stock ranger can make it with a few good spots. It's a solid 4 hour trip though.

Yup. I'm running full stock, not even leveled. You need to be a little careful about some lines, but as long as you take it easy it's 100% doable (at least the main fire road) in a stock truck with no worries. Toss in the fact that you have an FX4 package and I'd be even more confident.
