Pros, cons of each? Occasionally hit the paint with the clay bar now when the Ranger's been out in the elements more often.

I've used clay bars for years with great results.

My Ranger sat on the dealer's lot for 9 months. The paint was a mess when I got it - The surface felt like sandpaper. I used a clay towel on it and was really pleased. It let me work a much larger area than a bar would.
