I've had my ranger for less than 3 years, it just went over 30k miles and for the 3rd time I have a check engine light. 1st one was I think 1.5-ish years ago, something like moisture or something, can't quite remember but it resulted in needing an engine cover. Took a couple weeks to get it done. This last June it was "misfire". Had it all loaded for a camping trip then the light came on, took it to autozone and it showed the misfire reading. Couldn't get it in for over 3 weeks. Told them about the autozone diagnostic reading, actually gave them the printout. They clearly didn't trust the autozone opinion. A week later they said it needed a new sparkplug which was causing a misfire...really? Check engine light back on this morning, dealership can't take it in til 10/29. I called a different dealership farther away and they'll look at it next week. This has me worried that I made a mistake getting a Ranger, and worried that my warranty is up pretty soon. I'm wondering if I should get rid if it or go get an extended warranty.
