I would consider trading this one for a PHEV Ranger but that's a few yrs away.

I checked it out for fun.

They offered me 29,600 for an 2019 XLT 2x4 with 4,700 miles with all the options checked that applied.

But the OP has an 19' XL 4x4 with 30,000 miles and gets offered $2,600 less?

lol I would have expected far more based on other stories I've heard for my truck.

My nearest carvana is 764 miles away.
Needless to say the offer isnt very good.

$37,377 for a 2020 lariat crew cab fx4 sports appearance package with only 2000 miles on it..

Plus id have to get within 50 miles of the nearest location..

My offer is $34,299 for my 2019 XLT FX4 with 9000 miles. Almost exactly $3K more than I paid for it in Nov 2019, which is crazy. Even so, I absolutely love my truck and couldn't get another Ranger for that price.

I posted this in another thread. I recently sold my 2013 Lexus ES to Carvana for $22k. It's still showing on their site for $23.9K. It was almost half of what I paid for it new.

What some may not know. The 30 something billionaire founder, also owns the finance company they use. Their interest rates are much higher than you can find elsewhere. I think they prey on people with sketchy credit.

If I remember correctly a four-wheel-drive was about $5000 more when I bought my truck.

The used vehicle market is on fire. If you want a GOOD used vehicle, expect to pay out the ass for it...hence why I bought new last week. If they don't get the superconductor (microchips) shortage resolved soon, new vehicles globally, will also be at a premium.

Oh man!!! I wish I didn’t see this thread. Now I am second guessing myself about getting something else or put up with the risk of future issues such as fuel dilution, driveshaft clunk, etc. May be the best way is to wait until near the end of the 3 yr/36000 mi warranty and see if I still like this truck.
The issues that you read on here represent a very small percentage of Ranger owners. I really love my truck!

Last February I placed an order for a 2021 Ranger- the fourth new vehicle from this dealer since 2014. I was happy with the deal on the truck, not so much on the trade, a 2018 Escape. I looked it up on Carvana just to see what kind of cash price it might bring. They gave me a bid of $15,923. The dealer offered $14,677, and after some back & forth said he'd go $!5,500. I almost went with it
because without a trade, I would've paid $580 more in sales tax. I decided to think it over and maybe try Auto Trader or some one else. Three weeks went by and Carvana emailed me and said they really, really wanted my car badly, so I updated the vitals on it and they came back with $17086; almost $1,100 more. I called the dealer and he held firm on his number, so I went with Carvana. Simple, plain language, no hidden fees and I got a check for exactly what they quoted online minus the loan balance I had.
I would deal with them again.

But then you're defeating the whole purpose of wanting/buying a mid size truck. I drove F150's my whole life but have no need for one now. Plus they're so big now and they won't fit in most garages. The Ranger is the perfect size (for now) and hopefully it doesn't become an F150 anytime soon.
I bought my 2018 F-150 XLT Supercrew 4x4 FX4 with 24,000 miles last May from a dealer for $29,950. I drive it for 11 months and put 16,000 miles on it and never put any money into it except gas and oil changes. I just sold it to Vroom two weeks ago for $38,400. So I made $8,450 on it for driving it for a year and putting 16,000 miles on it.
I tried trading it in before I sold it to Vroom because of the tax savings I would have gotten here in Texas but I tried three different dealers and none of them would go over $30,000 trade for some reason. It made it an easy decision to sell to Vroom.
I just bought a 2021 Lariat Tremor to replace it. I couldnt pass up the opportunity to make that much money on my F-150 and I dont actually need a full size truck.
