Can you connect a fuse block/relays to the battery for aux devices?

I remember reading on here that there is something possibly about the alternator in this vehicle that makes it not compatible with connecting an auxiliary fuse panel/relay for devices such as lighting, HAM radios, amps and the like. Did I imagine that or is it a real thing?

Hi Dave,

I believe it was an aux battery, not a fuse panel...
