I have been reading every post I can find. I have looked and looked under my dash. Took most of the tape off the main harness looking for the wires to wire a brake controller. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Driver side footwell above the kick panel. should be 4 wires with heat shrink on their ends taped to the wire harness. Believe they are :

Yellow/Red = 12v power
Black/Green = to trailer This may be Blue depending on build date, Blue is later.
White = Ground
Violet/White = BOO (brake on/off)

Ford didn't leave them very long so splicing them can be fun.

I have spent literally 3 hours under the dash, removing tape from several of the harnesses. I looked next to the fuse box. There are larger bundles and the main bundle. But, as I have been removing the tape, I have found nothing with wires that are terminated. I did find a thin green/black wire with what looked like shrink wrap in the middle of it, like it was repaired at the factory. But, nothing like I see in the Ranger 5g forum.

My truck was built in November 2018. Is it possible it was not wired even though I have the trailer tow package? Or the wires are somewhere else?

Mine were bundled in blue tape making them look like they ran with the rest of the harness, wasn't easy to find. Once you find them though they're obvious.

I have looked at the harness coming through the firewall. Took tape off. I cannot see any add'l harness. Looked at the smaller harness and nothing. There is no blue tape anywhere and so I figure that maybe just bundled with the other stuff. Cant find any wires that end in or around the harness.
For those that have found the harness or just the wires, did any of you find these wires somewhere else? A different location than right next to the main harness?

I asked the dealer to locate the wires for me when I did my 1st oil change. No charge.

Working from memory here, and I'm old, so.......

If I remember right, the wires in my truck were about 4" from the firewall behind a horizontal run of taped wiring harness above the kick panel and about even or just higher than the bottom of the dash. The wires were behind the bundle, and I accidentally found them by reaching up and around the harness. I felt the loose wires. As already stated, the ends were shrink wrapped with black shrink wrap.

I didn't need them at the time but had planned on installing a brake controller, so I bent them so I could easily find them later.

Thanks for everyone helping, but I am of the opinion that there are none. If memory serves to connect a controller one wire goes to the brake light switch, another to power, another to ground and another to the brake actuation. I think I am stuck here and going to have to run the wires myself. With that said, I am wondering if I hook the "brake switch" line to the 3rd light it might work properly with adaptive cruise? Still, though, I have to find the trailer actuation wire or run one from the bumper. What a hassle and totally unexcuseable by Ford.

Here are some photos:

The plot thickens. I've taken videos, photos, spent hours checking things out. Can't find them but the local Ford dealer says they will install parts and labor for $300! Should have contacted them first. I will update. See if they have success. This Friday. Thanks to everyone!!

Well, when I went to the local Ford dealer, guess what? They didn't know how to do it and they want hourly costs plus list price on the Ford part. I will look around

Here's the pin diagram for where the harness plugs into the actual brake light at the rear. Hope it helps!

#3 is power, #10 is the ground

I found mine in the small bundle coming thru the fire wall by feeling the wires that looped back up into the into the bundle instead of continuing on. I was about to give up when I felt those and pulled on them and sure enough it they came out.
