Went and picked up some mulch today and when they loaded it up, with a loader, some mulch fell between the cab and bed. When I looked in there I saw mulch and leafs from fall. How the heck do you get that stuff out of there?!?

Just be careful if using a power washer there. It's a tight area and you don't have a lot of room to keep the wand back away from the cab and you could end up damaging the paint back there which could end up rusting. When you first pull the trigger it's going to be pressurized at +/- 2000 psi. I would use a regular garden hose from different angles.

I’ve got to say this is a strange design in my opinion. I cannot get this crap out of there. A power washer and hose just get everything wet and water drain out underneath but none of the leaves and mulch.

maybe I’m a idiot but this is annoying! It’s a rust nightmare waiting to start!

Thank you! Yup that’s the problem. I have a Lariat.

I just went to a car wash and got maybe 40% off the crap out.

Im going to my dealer tomorrow to ask about getting it removed. I used my truck as a truck and this, as I mentioned, is a absolutely a rust disaster waiting to happen.

My son is a tech with GM. He said if worse comes to worse we can take the bed off (held on by 8 bolts) and remove whatever that piece is. He said taking the bed off is t too hard. But IMO the dealer should….:it’s a crappy design.

Went to the dealer yesterday. The shop foreman comes out and looks at it...says "Oh yeah I see the problem. That looks like a pretty lousy design if you ask me". I agreed with him. He goes to get a flashlight and comes back with a different opinion...now he says..."I don't think you can get that out and the bed is aluminum so it wont rust". I said what about the cab....he states "oh it should be fine".
I then suggest taking the bed off to remove it...he says oh I think you'll just end up having problems then.

I say "thank you and have a nice day"......I'll fix it myself!

Had 2019 Lariat with same problem. The way I cleaned it out was to remove the two rubber plugs at the back of the bed. Then i used a hose sprayer to wash it out. Note that I had to force the rubber to one side that is between the cab and bed on the side behind the back doors. this let the larger pieces out.
Hope this helps
I tied using a long ruler and narrow piece of wood but did not have much success.
