After recommendations from a couple of forum members, I called Tonneau Factory Outlet and they gave me a good deal on an Extang Solid Fold 2.0. No haggling, just gave me a good price. They seem to be very straight shooters - no BS. I ordered the cover which will be here tomorrow and the bedrug which will be here Monday.Where’s the best and cheapest. 5’ bed. I’m ready to order.
I got mine from tonneaufactoryoutlet.com. They gave me a military discount price of $820.Where’s the best and cheapest. 5’ bed. I’m ready to order.

Here is a comparison video of the two. I went with the Undercover due to the better warranty and the fact it doesn't lean against the back of the cab when fully opened. Even though the MX4 has the bumpers to keep the metal away from the glass and paint I didn't want anything rubbing on the paint.Anybody have experience with Ultra Flex and MX4? I’m leaning towards the MX4.
The stops rest against the rear window. That's how it was designed. Nothing touches the paint or the 3rd light.Looks great. Do the stops rub on the paint or rear window?
Www.autoanything.com has 21% off everything over $79 this weekend when you use promo code BUN21. That drops the MK4 from the $999 MSRP to $789.90 with free shipping.Where’s the best and cheapest. 5’ bed. I’m ready to order.
I was wrong about where the soft rubber bumpers hit. The middle one rests against the 3rd brake light on mine. I would still have no worries about stress or marring on that light if the cover was secured and resting against the light.Perfect. I’m going to order in May. Still waiting for ship date.
The bed is attached directly to the frame. The cab sits on bushings. If you've ever ridden in the bed of a pickup you have probably noticed the cab moves differently than the bed. That difference in movement will cause rubbing. That's why most of the other folding Tonneau cover brands hold the cover straight up instead of resting it against the back of the cab.
