Hi everyone, I'll be hitting the magical 35k miles sometime next year on my 2021 Ranger. For those who purchased an extended warranty, what company did you go with and why?

Thanks.

There's only one that's reliable and doesn't make you jump thru hoops when you use it...
Ford's ESP plans. Available from several of our Ford vendors for just $50 bucks over cost which is a lot less than you'll get from your dealer.
Check Granger Ford, their web site, and the numerous posts on the forum about their deals on the ESP.

^^^Steve is right, stick with the genuine Ford extended warraty. Third party warranties are too costly, and suck real bad if you make a claim. Right now Granger Ford seems to have the best price for the genuine warranty. I've bought from Granger, and the process is smooth and easy. Since you've waited the warranty will be a bit more than if you would have bought right out of the box. But, Granger with $50 over cost should still be your best bet.

Hmm, My Ford dealer sold us a 3 party warranty from Century service when I bought the truck. Said it was better than Ford and covered more parts. The dealer for my wife's Subaru sold us the same warranty back in 17. Haven't had to use it yet so can't tell you if they pay out without hoops.

Yeah, my dealer told me the same thing. The more parts covered? Keys and wheels, for only $900 more than the Ford ESP. I canceled it and bought from Grainger. Went from 6yr 100K bumper to bumper to 8yr 125k bumper to bumper.

Also, OP remember: The warranty starts from 0 miles and delivery date. The extended warranty doesn't start when you buy it. So, if you get the 8 yr. 150K, you are already into it for 35K. The warranty will end when the truck reaches 150K or 8yr old, whichever comes first.

Your dealer and F&I clown are human garbage and should be treated as such.

Bought mine from Flood Ford. It was very easy and quick. I printed out all the documentation and keep it with my truck.

Ford ESP Premium is the only way to go. You can buy this warrenty from any Ford dealer but as it has been said above there are some dealers to check first, Granger, Zeigler, Flood Ford. Shop around and match plan for plan.

Thanks for this info....

I am looking into an extended warranty and my local ford dealer quoted me $3400 for an 8yr/80k warranty which I thought was way too high. I wasn't aware I could buy the ESP from any dealer.

Yes that's very high. Here's the link to Flood Fords warranty and you can go through all the different ones and the deductibles. If you have LED's I'd recommend adding that coverage as it's only $50.00 and well worth it. I bought the 6/75 from them last May and it was super easy and they'll send you a pdf of your warranty.
