Beep in engine

Ranger sat for two days and then taken out for short errand. It then gave me a message "system off to save battery", and there was a barely audible beep in center of engine. Sound went on about every four seconds for about 15 minutes.

I'll give the battery a load test like Phil mentioned in a prior post. The battery was replaced under warranty 5 months ago, so it should be good. Can anyone tell me where the beep is coming from ??
