I have a video of my ranger getting pulled out, however when I upload it, it says something about an extension. Anyhow, I was driving into a well site on a lease road and all forward motion stopped. How this happened I have no idea, but with all the rain we've gotten lately my road was washed out. Somehow I steered around the hole without driving into it. When I turned to the left I somehow pulled right over it.My truck was actually in the air. held up by the front tires. The back part of the frame was resting on the ground with the rear tires hanging in the air. The brush was so thick I couldn't see the hole. I wish the video would upload so you guys could see the extraction. A track hoe lifted my rear end up and sat me down on the other side of the hole.

Here are some pics of the front and the back. I didn't any pics of the hole. The excavator filled it in as soon as he yanked me out

Hi,

Sorry to see you stuck, but maybe a lesson for others. My boss and I established an advanced offroad driving school for Ford engineers. One key action was to exit the vehicle and walk the trail before driving it, particularly when going down hill or like you experienced. Glad it worked out for you!

ESPECIALLY when there is tall grass like that - that stuff will hide all sorts of bad things.

I'd love to see the video though if you can get it uploaded.

Ugh, sorry to see that. Sounds like you got it out OK. Good thing our trucks have a fully boxed frame.
