I am going to order a set of WeatherTech floor mats for my Ranger. I was wondering if thier mudflaps were a decent product? Anybody purchase other WeatherTech products they would recommend?

I put them on last week but can't attest to durability yet. Like the look.

If you like the look of the molded flaps I think they're a good one to go with. From what I've seen on here they look like the easiest set to install.

I'm planning on getting the WT in channel side window deflectors for my truck. I had the stick on ones on my last car and loved the concept but the in channels look so much better.

I put WeatherTech floor mats and mud flaps on my Ranger and have no complaints. The fit and finish are exceptional. For the money I don't think you can get a better product.

Initially I was going to buy OEM Ford mud flaps but I didn't want more FORD logos. Our Rangers already have something like 16 Ford/Ranger badges as it is.

The WeatherTech floor mats are a better design than the Ford OEM. The Ford mats don't protect the floor under the gas pedal.

I ordered them for a fleet of 10 work pickups and they have been great since installed last year around this time.

I have the floor mats front and rear. I also have the "Bump Step" installed in my hitch...

I am also putting an order in at WT for the floor mats, mud flaps and the stone and bug deflector for the front of the hood.

I am looking to get some type of seat covers for the rear seats for my dogs. We like to go hiking and at times, they get pretty dirty. I am not convinced on the WT seat cover just yet.

Forgot to add this.. I saw that WT has a bed liner for most truck that looks to be made the same way as their foot well liners.

I would be interested in looking at that for my truck if the Ranger bed liner is not to far in the future. I am a WT fan and have them in all my family cars!

Has anyone off-road in these and have issues with them getting bent or ripped off? Got mine on and they hang pretty low.

I'm also in the market for mud flaps on my Lariat FX4. I believe the Weathertech mud flaps have a clip-on type of fastener.

That said, there is a concern of corrosion with dissimilar metals; in this case the aluminum fenders and the metal clips.

Does this concern apply to this scenario?

No worries.

The front and rear mud flap clips (that are actually exposed to road crud) attach to the plastic wheel well trim, not to metal. They also us an existing lower tapped hole in which supplied stainless fasteners are used.

The front Mud Flaps utilize clips that you install behind the inner wheel well liner, so those are protected from road crud.

It depends on your definition of off-road. For serious off roading where you're crawling over rocks....... the "it's just a piece of flat rubber" type of mud flaps would be better... or even better, no mud flaps at all.

The "hang low" however is exactly what you want for road mud flaps to protect body panels.

The weathertech flaps are good but I like the way rokblokz attach much better. I wanted no drill flaps that were easily removable so Weathertech and Rokblokz were my options. Had weathertech on another truck and I still use their liners but I'll be sticking with the Rokblokz for mud flaps.

I have had the Weather Tech mud flaps for a few months now, the only problem I have had with them is the metal clips (2 on each mud flap) are already starting to rust. I do live in the rust belt, but I was hoping they would make it a few years before they start turning orange. They haven't even started salting the roads that much yet :frown:.
