Anyone running a tailgate light bar?

Interested in adding a tailgate light bar, for a project in the future. Has anyone had luck running it off of the 4 terminal trailer lighting connector?.... without weird error messages and so on. I'm not a big fan of hacking into the vehicles wiring harness and want to retain the backup camera and so on. Thanks for any info.

I fought with my PUTCO bar for about 2+ months. Short story, you need a signal isolator to keep the lighting/sensors systems from being tripped.
