Been using them for years, for light dust, not like driving down a country road for 50 miles, just for the dust that accumulates while sitting in the garage. They do have their limits, but no issues here.
Hi Mike,

I use one on my tortoise when he comes into the house from his burrow...he is quite dusty. After a rain storm he looks like a mud ball...then it is bath time in a white plastic tub.... Gotta have a clean tortoise in the house...dust not allowed...

Same here. It was safe enough to use on my Vette and 2 black F 150's I'm not worried about it on my Ranger. Trust me I'm as anal as they come with detailing and my Vette never saw even a drop of rain. Like you said as long as you're not trying to get off heavy dirt/dust the California dusters work great!
