Does any of the 2019 Ford Ranger models come with a alarm system? I don't see it listed as the features. I assume they all come with a basic factory anti-theft alarm, but it's not listed as a feature / option??

From page 63 of Owner's Manual:
PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT
SYSTEM
Principle of Operation
The system prevents someone from
starting the engine with an incorrectly
coded key.
Coded Keys
If you lose a key, you can purchase a
replacement from an authorized dealer. If
possible, provide them with the key
number from the tag provided with the
original keys. You can also obtain extra
keys from an authorized dealer.
Note: Have all of your remaining keys
erased and recoded if you lose a key. Have
replacement keys coded together with your
remaining keys. See an authorized dealer
for further information.
Note: Do not shield your keys with metal
objects. This may prevent the receiver from
recognizing a coded key.
Note: Do not leave a duplicate coded key
in the vehicle. Always take your keys and
lock all doors when leaving the vehicle.
Arming the Engine Immobilizer
When you switch the ignition off, the
engine immobilizer will arm automatically
after a short time.
Disarming the Engine Immobilizer
When you switch the ignition on, the engine
immobilizer will disarm automatically if
you use a correctly coded key.
If you are unable to start the engine with a
correctly coded key, have your vehicle
checked by an authorized dealer.
ANTI-THEFT ALARM
Alarm System
Perimeter Alarm
The perimeter alarm is a deterrent against
unauthorized access to your vehicle
through the doors, luggage compartment
and the hood.
Panic Alarm (If Equipped)
The alarm can be activated using the
remote control.
Triggering the Alarm
• If someone opens a door or the hood
without a valid key or remote control.
• If you switch the ignition on without a
valid key.
If the alarm sounds, the alarm horn sounds
for 30 seconds and the hazard warning
lamps flash for five minutes.
Any further attempts to carry out one of
the above will sound the alarm again.
Arming the Alarm
Press the lock button once to lock your
vehicle and arm the alarm.
Disarming the Alarm
Disarm the alarm by any of the following
actions:
• Unlock the doors with the key and
switch the ignition on with a correctly
coded key within 12 seconds.
• Unlock the doors or luggage
compartment using the remote control.

ok, that answers that one, thank you. I guess adding an after market alarm is not needed - which is good

Just depends.
My Raptor had the basic Ford Alarm system, and after a couple of broad daylight attempts to break into it (only prevented by someone in my office looking out the window and seeing the thief), I added a much beefier alarm that would alert me from a long distance

just curious - did your factory alarm sound (horn honking) when they tried to break in?
I know you would have to be within hearing range to hear the horn, but did it even trigger the alarm at all?

If you live along the southern border where Mexicans steal trucks and run to the border, you need a secondary secret alarm. I devise my own.

No. both times they were trying to pry off the cover around the door handle, and the alarm never sounded.
The first time, the person who saw them started banging on the window, and they bolted.
The second time, the person was at the exit door and yelled "I'm calling the police..." to scare them away.

This happened again after I got the new alarm system, and the new fob and my phone started buzzing.
I ran down the stairs and out the door, but they were hightailing it by the time I got there.

(BTW, the office was actually in a fairly good part of town).

The Ford Perimeter Alarm can be added if not equipped. (kn1z-19A361a). This adds a shock sensor to the standard theft deterrent. It also has the capability of adding remote start if not equipped.

How can I tell if the Perimeter Alarm is already installed? I have the fully loaded Lariat, with remote start.

Seems like a good idea to add this, if it's not already installed.

That’s not a shock sensor alarm. Only if someone opens the door according to dealership. I bought an alarm kit to add shock sensor from the Ford website and my dealership says it won’t work on a 19 Ranger even though website says it will.

I have had my Ranger for a little over a month and I have been trying to get the instructions online and I finally did tonight at about 7pm mt time.
The directions were, 1. lock the doors with fob, 2. 3 seconds push lock again and the horn will honk ; I have my horn deactivated with lock , so I tried again and clicked it twice ,the horn honked, I then went outside to see if any light was on and yes there was a amber lite on the lock buttons inside the Ranger to prove the alarm was armed at least I believe that is the prove.
I have had Rams that a red light lit up in the instrument panel when security was armed.
Just my humble thoughts on arming the 2019 Ranger xlt super crew 4x4, still don't know how well it works according to KJBeggs doesn't work very well as He experienced attempted break-ins twice and He is the Man with the knowledge first hand.

I can confirm the KN1Z-19A361A will add the enhanced alarm features you are looking for. It has an adjustable shock sensor and all that. If you already have the remote start you just cut the wire jumper to delete that feature. It will even alert you on the Ford Pass app if there is was an intrusion attempt or vibration picked up.

Decent price on ebay:
