I am enjoying my new to me 2019 Ranger Lariat. I like everything about it except for the shiny dashboard. The glare is very annoying to me. Has anyone found a solution? I’ve thought about using rubberized adhesive backed material similar to Talon Grips.

The solution is a quality pair of polarized sunglasses. Takes the glare off the everything that you look at. Won’t leave home without them.
This right here! The sun is probably the worst out here than almost anywhere else in the country and I've never had any problems with glare. Heck I use the Aerospace Protectant every 3-4 months on my dash too and never have any glare from that. I do use a good pair of Oakley sunglasses every time I'm driving or just out walking for that matter. You should always wear them anyways for UV protection. :sunglasses:

My guess is the OP meant the bezel around some of the vents and the speedo cluster.
Depending on time of day, I get the flash from the dash as well.
I do like that dash mat look, though!

That would make more sense and IIRC someone else had this same problem. I think he just used a trim tool and popped off the bezel and painted them gray to match the rest of the trim.

That does sound familiar...

If you paint the bezels, I'd recommend plastidip. Dipyourcar.com has many color options and you can always peel it off later or change colors easily if you like. Also, don't need to worry about type of paint on plastic or scuffing/priming either.

Yes that is what I meant. The shiny plastic bezel takes away from the interior appearance the nice faux black leather upholstery of my Lariat.

Or get dash pieces from a junk yard from an XL or XLT as only the Lariat had the glossy finish on the dash.
Loving it that it's the people with the high end trim that have the problem.

Me and my XLT are doing just fine. Don't like leather seats or the Lariat dash. So it's WIN, WIN, WIN.
