I’m one of the few probably that got a 4x2 without the locking rear. Was wondering If there was any options out there available?

Not sure, but would recommend investigating if there is a Torsen Diff available. We used them on the original FX4 in the rear. My prototype had one in the front also, but the Bean Counters thrifted it out of the program.

I agree with Phil, torsen is a torque sensing differential that is very strong. I havent heard much about them over the last few years

I agree on the Torsen. There was one in my old ‘07 Ranger FX4 Level II and I was very happy with it!

In good time. One of the perks of owning a first year model. :headbang:

We use very similar axles to the JL Rubicon in the rear, I doubt it will be long before someone comes up with an LSD. Have you tried to see how it behaves with a tire in the air? I think you'll be surprised.

Just discovered that.. went over a whoop slowly and lifted a rear tire clear, truck stopped, made some noises in the engine compartment, and then magically started moving forward again

I agree, I’d much rather have a LSD over a locker in a vehicle that spent 90% of its life on road
The locker has an on/off switch on mine.
Regards

I'd definitely buy a nice lsd if they were semi reasonable. I'm hoping all the recent trucks sold will wakeup the aftermarket.

has anyone tried contacting Dana/Spicer and see if they have any aftermarket available yet/soon for the 190mm/220mm Advantek axles yet?

They offer aftermarket for most of vehicles they supply OEM axles for, so I'd be surprised if they didn't have parts on the way.

I’ve reached out to Currie and one other brand, and they said nothing in the works. I’ll reach out to Spicer
