Update: I got the front end installed this weekend!

To remove the valence I followed the video here https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/xlt-to-lariat-headlamp-upgrade.2750/

Except I had a hard time removing the grill so I left it on and it stayed on with the valence when I took the valence off. Then it took 1 minute to take the grill off of the valence because I was able to get a flathead on the tabs to pop it off.

Here are some pics.

So what I did was I got it lined up at the fender and drilled a hole to put a bolt through the valence and fender. I did it on both sides because there isn't anything to hold the valence.

So these pieces that that were on the fenders that held the oem valance cover wont work with the ADV fenders? How about the center valance? Do i lay the ADV valance on top of the plastic skeleton?

I mean if you can get the skeleton to work...how was it holding onto the valence? Do you think you can replicate that?

What I did was make like the 3 slots in the valence for the bottom of the grill to go into. Then use the bolt method I mentioned. It's been working perfectly.

I think I got a 3/8 drill and like 5/16 bolts with locking nuts.
Sounds good thanks man! I went to the truck and now see what youre talking about cant fit the skeleton inside the ADV valance. I picked up the valance and kind of mocked it up to the fenders it seems to be way longer than needed left to right. Did you fight yours inside or just spread the fenders and it slipped in? Because my hood and fender lines are perfect but the valance seems to be at least 6 inches longer unless i just need to flex it in

So to start off, my left side is a little off, but not because of total length, but because I need to cut some material off on the inside of the valence where it meets the fender so the thickness of the valence on the left is a little too much. Like when you put the valence to the fender, you can only push in the valence so much to line them up. My right side is perfect, but I need to take off the valence one day and trim down the thickness on the left side, I can over cut it, then line up the valence and the fender and drill a new hole through both for the bolt.

So length wise, I guess as long as you match up the valence to each fender and have good lines, the valence can technically "bow" towards the front of the truck and look just fine.

From this view, I need to trim some material from the back of the valence if I'm looking at the valence just like this, then I can push the valence in more and drill a new hole through to the fender. Right now I can't push in the valence anymore so the valence sticks out a bit.

Ok that makes sense thanks for your help!

Im waiting for my paint appointment and came up with a little idea. Since the side marker lights wont work with these fenders. I had a bunch of little smoked amber lights left over from a previous project. I drilled a pilot hole then used a grinding bit and made a circle to match the diameter of the rubber insulator that holds the led. I will wire them to the original harness plug. Since im getting it wrapped a dark gray color it will match pretty good.

Pretty freaking sweet!!
If I was to do it I would have put them here so that people would see my blinker on while I'm next to them. But I didn't lol. Nice idea man.

Nice tip! I suck at bodywork. I'm designing a dual spare carrier for the bed rn. I haven't used solidworks in a year and it shows lol.
