Access windshield washer hose under wheel well liner?

So my windshield wiper washer stopped spraying.

It pumps water that sounds like its hitting tin on rear of passenger side front wheel well & runs out from there.

I found a schematic of washer/hose routing and there is a hose connection just forward of firewall in the fender.

Anyone else have this issue/how did you access it?

36,000 mile/Bumper to Bumper warranty....try another dealer...it should be on their dime, not yours.
Sounds like that dealer doesn't want to "spend" a lot of labor to fix a simple problem.....probably take a lot of labor to remove parts to get to what will most likely be a simple repair.
If it were me, I'd go back to that dealer and have them put it in writing for you that they won't cover the repair under warranty.....
Bet they'll re-consider...

Keep us informed of the outcome, and who the dealer is. Lot's here like to keep up on dealers who are good and those who give you a hard time on repairs under warranty.
Although yours is a simple problem, nice to know which dealers will treat you as they should.

I would try pulling cowl lose to see if I could access the leak then move down to the fender liner.
If you look at lower corners of hood when open you can see the washer hose route down to the corners of the cowl

It's under warranty...let the dealer fix it.
It may be a simple repair, but if trying to repair it some parts may be damaged, like clips, fasteners, ect. Dealer damages it, it's on them to replace....OP does it and breaks/damages something, it's on him.
Also, if something is bad/broken/damaged, like pump motor, broken tank, split hoses, if OP finds it dealer can always claim he damaged it...if dealer finds it/damages it, it's on them.
I re-emphasize....get the service mgr to state in writing that the repair is not covered by the 36,000/36 month bumper to bumper warranty....it is not a "ware" item so should be covered.

This is one of those times where OP should stand up and not give in...it's a non-critical repair, and he can take time to pursue getting dealer to repair....
Again, if me, and service mgr still refuses to repair, next step would be the dealership mgr, than owner, then Ford Customer Service.

find 501-02 in the tech manuals. it'll show you how to pull out the fender liner to look in behind it

I just had my liner off to install a snorkel. Removing the liner is requires removing the fender flare trim piece, which is difficult to do without breaking clips, and or the flare itself.

1 - Remove marker light, by pushing back the liner and reaching behind it to release the light retention tab. Lots of videos on Youtube showing this process, search Ranger marker light removal. Don't just pry it out as one video suggest, find one showing how to get your hand in behind it.

2 - Remove the T25 screw behind the marker light.

3 - Remove the T25 screw at the rear lower point of the flare.

4 - Pry the flare off, as gently as possible, using a crow's foot trim tool.

5 - Remove 10-12 plastic screw in retention pins to drop the liner out.

That's probably why the service mgr tried to get out of a warranty repair....probably an hour or more labor to replace or simply re-attach hose. Hour of labor is over $100 bucks an hour, so not "cost effective" to tie a tech up.
Googling up, seems Ford labor charges run between $100-$120 per hour, which is average.

Wiper blades are the only part of that system that is NOT covered by the 3/36 , i think they are 6 months , take it back , make them do it , just for spite if nothing else ...

UPDATE:

Hi, the OP here.

Dealer service manager called first thing this AM to apologize for me being told (by a new “secretary” not a service underwriter) that it wasn’t covered.

Wanted to know when it would “work for you” to bring it in to correct problem; I’m scheduled for next week.

He did remind me that if leak is due to a critter chewing on it warranty wouldn’t apply.

Told him if it was a chewed hose/part I would want to see it……

We’ll see how it goes.

Think I’ll see if I can get an inspection camera up there where I can see problem; if a chew issue I’ll tear into it myself.

I would think if you had a critter problem, it would show up first with wiring and insulation.
If the unit is still squirting water, it may be something as simple as a bad hose or simply that the hose became disconnected from a fitting.
