325's are clearly closer to the ultimate 35.
Anyone running 325's. Is anyone running 35's on stock rims?

As far as I am aware nobody makes a 325/70R17 so although on paper it may be a better choice its not an available one. I always point people to tiresize.com for people to reference tire sizes but i also follow it up with "not ever size is an available one"

So then a 315 is the closest to a true 35"?

On top of not being a real size, some 285 width tires fit on stock wheels, but not all. a 315 (which is a real width) is 30mm wider and most definitely would not clear the spindle.
How do you get to a 35" then. 315's are barely over 34"?

34.4x12.50 actually. Closer to 34 than 35 but not by much. Unless you’re lifting, have some serious offset and delete crash bars, I think you’ll have a hard time clearing them. I’ve been looking hard at 285/75 (33.8”x11.2”) for my tremor when I get and I think I’ll have a hard time with that without going crazy on the lift. Why not just go with 35-12.5-17, which is a true readily available size if you’re that set on it?

Cuz I need every in inch I can get, these 33's are making me turn around too much on the trails. I already have the 3 1/2". 2 more inches , or as close to that as I can get, will help demonstrably.

Someone said it above, but if you're looking for a true 35 you'd have to go with a 35x12.50r17. Ultimately a 35x12.50r17 and a 315/70r17 have a total height difference of .6", so .3" on each side of your rim. It's not that much, but if you want a true 35 inches, you'd have to go with a 35" tire. (though, not all 35 are truly 35")
