Not bad at all. Looks like Ford modeled it after the F-150.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

I really don't like that look. I do like what I have now, like in your avatar.
It just looks too massive. It's not a F150, should have it's own look.

Hey guys what do you think of the new 2022 front-end redesign of the Ranger? Everything looks the same except for the front end....

While I think that looks nice, there's no way ford is going to retool to make all new lights (especially for just XL/XLT), grilles, etc for one year before the new redesign comes out.

I don't like what F150s look like and frankly would never buy one. If the Ranger looked too much like an F150... I wouldn't have bought it even for the great negotiated price I got mine for.

But I'm guessing most would like it because there's always that latent complaint that the Ranger looks too "Euro" and not "truck like" enough. Reviewers always point to that the GM product looks like the full-size trucks and the Tacoma is blockier, etc.

I agree with all of you I like my Ranger the way it is... The only complaint I have is I don't have the LED running lights but that's fine I don't care I shut the daytime running lights off anyway

Grab some aftermarket headlights, that's what I just did. Zero regrets.

but thats traditionally what Ford does to distinguish one model year from the next.
Not really. They do mid model refresh for the whole line, not the cheapest two out of the bunch. And even then, it runs for longer than a year. I'm a Mustang guy so it's easily seen there.

94-04 is the SN95 platform, with 99-04 being the new edge refresh.

05-14 was the S197 platform with 10-14 receiving a refresh (and new power train in 11)

15-present is the S550 platform with 2018 receiving the refresh and 10 speed auto option.

They often do the same with the F150. The last ranger we saw went forever without a refresh before being discontinued. It would be a huge waste of money and resources to R&D new lights and get them into production when everything is so far behind.
