Hey everyone. I’m new to the group and a first time Ranger owner. Up until this point I have only owned a single cab 2005 F150 and a 2016 Crew Cab Silverado. I have to say the Ranger is pretty much the same size as my old F150 which is great when you’re a tall guy. I finally got my Ranger Splash - Forest Edition in and it’s absolutely beautiful. Pictures don’t really do the color justice. I did notice this truck sits super high. A lot higher than I thought they would with a 4x4 setup. It definitely doesn’t look like it sits only 8.9 inches for ground clearance. Does anyone know where to accurately measure from ground to a frame point to see how high the truck really is? I’m almost thinking these Splash packages shipped with a lifted suspension like the Tremor and no one told the press before they released the announcement. Thanks for the help!

Welcome Cassey!! That Splash Forest Edition looks really great! I cant wait to see one in person as I'm sure it looks sweet. When you're measuring ground clearance you generally want to measure from the the lowest point of the vehicle and the level surface underneath it. Also make sure the vehicle and the bed are empty so you get an accurate measurement.

You've got me real jealous over here. I've got one of those coming my way end of the month (hopefully that timeline sticks..). I'd love to see more pictures if you're feeling generous! Will give me something to stare at until mines in my driveway.

Hey Casey - welcome to the forum - nice looking Ranger you have there.

I came from a 4g 4x4 Ranger and the first thing I noticed was how high up it is. I don’t think the Splash is levelled or lifted - this truck just just sits way up there and has a high hood line, bed rails and tailgate. If it isn’t already leveled or lifted from Ford, that sounds like a really good starting place. :D ?

Love the color. It's good to see new color options in new vehicles.
Wouldn't ground clearance be the lowest part of the truck? Probably the diff?

Thanks everyone for reaching out. It could just be the way it sits, I’ll have to climb under to get an accurate ground height. It doesn’t have much of a rake to it either. This parking lot has a little slant to it. Here’s some more photos of the body.

Congrats on that unique color Splash! There are specific color threads on this forum but not sure there's a FOREST GREEN Ranger Club Thread. You might be the first member to own one.

By the way, the tires on yours don't have the white lettering. Are they turned inside?

There's no shortage of rake there...

Take a tape and run it from the top of a rear tire to the fender, same thing for the front.

I bet there's close to 2" difference.
