My 2022 sounds like all of the above, a bit of a change in different temps, but I'm sure mine's because I have an engine cover and a community of enterprising mice.

From what I’ve gathered on this awesome forum is sowing machine ticking is normal…just hard to wrap my head around but I’ll accept.

Well just to be sure…here is my video.

Yep, mine sounds just like that and it was quite unnerving at first. It still doesn't seem right even after 2+ years, but I had to accept it.

I do always feel like it'll break if I don't let it warm up for at least a minute, I keep expecting some horrible sound when giving it gas in that first minute or two.

I do try to remote start it as much as possible - and let it run 5+ minutes. LOL, since many of my trips are less than five minutes (a minute to the grocery store, 5 minutes to the dump), my gas mileage is abysmal.

For remote starting, I use the app or, if close, use the Start-X I installed.

By the way, the engine cover doesn't make a noticeable difference in my ears. I think I may have more sound damping from adding the hood weather-stripping - but that would only be measurable with some instrument - it still sounds the same and sounds like a frigging sewing machine. =(

Right on, good tip on the warmup. I’ll start doing that. I guess I’ll just keep a ear out if it gets louder.
