Had to look what a 1" block is.. found a YouTube video of it.

So lifting the chassis by adding 1" steel block between axle and leaf spring? Looks somewhat marginal and only useful for leveling the car & clearance at max payload. But then again, I don't know, I don't use leafs.

Wow...too busy putting miles + sleeping in my Ranger and totally missed this thread...I could've answered that question without quitting the forum...I added a 1" block because I carry so much camping gear...is that bad?
You added a 1" block?

?

And no, adding a block to a rear leaf spring isn't bad, as long as you don't go too tall and invite axle wrap.

Now some of the people Darwin Award Wannabes adding lift blocks to front axle leaf springs, THAT is bad ju ju.

Small lift blocks used to be pretty common from the factory on rear leaf springs.

I would think that blocks would work better with our monoleaf rear spring than with a typical spring pack.

whooo, boy. maybe OP is new to the internet?
Only thing I can think of this OP is he read the thread on raising blocks where I was quite critical of them, which was concurred by other posters. Thinking OP did not know how to reply so vented in a new thread. Otherwise...I am baffled.

Single stack Mack with a window in the back.
And looks to be painted black...

There's gotta be a country song in there somewhere.

I suddenly have the urge to add a 1' block to my truck.

Do they make a 1' block with a damper attachment?

Though you may not drive a great big ol Mack
Gangsta whitewalls TV antennas in the back
You may not have a truck at all
But remember brothers and sisters
You can still stand tall
Just be thankful for what you've got
Though you may not drive a great big ol Mack
Window in the back, sunroof top, diggin' the scene with a gangsta lean
Gangsta whitewalls, TV antennas in the back...

Curtis Mayfield - Be Thankful for What You Got had it goin on in 1972

Is it because I asked, “Why the rear blocks?” or was there another posting that I missed?

Well John, I guess now you'll believe, and listen too your wife, and/or significant other. See what I did there, I covered all the bases as to not hurt anyone's feelings. Just like my wife told me to do. :bandit: :turkey::turkey::turkey::turkey::turkey:
