Hi All. I’m not new to trucks, I had a ’93 Toyota 4x4, a few years before the Taco. I just bought my 2020 Ranger Supercab Lariat FX4 as my daily driver to prep for retirement in the mountains of WV. I love it, though I’d like to smooth out the ride a bit of an unloaded box.

Is there anything that can be done as a substitute to the Sulastic leaf shackles that aren’t available for the 2019-21 Ranger? I’m not interested in doing any lift or changing tires. Would just like to ‘soften’ the ride a bit in the rear end.

I have read through the forums and done internet searches without much success.

Thanks. So, with the information about struts, I was able to find several threads about it. Seems a common brand is the Fox 2.0? Looks like a fairly cheap upgrade.

Are there any significant differences between Fox and other brands? Will continue to look for other threads so sorry if this is rehashing old info.

Thank you, I forgot to mention that my tires are all set to 40lb as from the dealer. I've seen some people say to go lower, some higher. Guess I just need to test it myself?

Just look at the door sticker. Different options come with different tires, Ford had already tested them all. Dealers just don't bother to look at the door sticker.

Thanks all. I lowered the tire pressure from 40 to 34 and it rides much better. Door sticker says 30 so I will lower down to 30 when the tires cool down. Appreciate the info. I will eventually swap out to different struts, but it's much better now.
