Highlights:
  • Converts factory tow hook to d-ring shackle
  • Bolts directly to frame
  • Includes mounts, d-ring & rubber isolators
  • Durable steel construction
  • Fits factory bumpers and some aftermarket ones
Provides Better Off-Road Recoveries
When you're playing on treacherous trails with your 2019-2021 Ford Ranger, it helps to have something that can get you out of scary situations if your Ranger gets stuck in snow or mud. The Tow Hook to Shackle Conversion Kit offers a better recovery option than the Ranger's factory tow hook. Ensure that getting stuck is never a problem ever again. This kit replaces the hook with a d-ring shackle for much easier access and convenience. It also offers a unique, attractive look to the front of your truck with its black powder coat finish. Features Great Components & Easy Installation
This kit includes mounts, a d-ring and rubber isolators. The mounts bolt directly to the frame and provides the same strength as your factory tow hook would have. The mounts were designed to fit to both factory and aftermarket Ranger bumpers, but only aftermarket ones that retain factory tow hooks. While this kit already includes a d-ring, any standard 3/4" d-ring will be compatible with this mount. The mount is also designed to accommodate shackles with 7/8" size threaded pins. The components also use durable steel to withstand any abuse you may encounter off-road. To top off the kit, rubber isolators are included.

Fitment:2019-2021 Ranger

Complete Kit: This kit includes mounts, rubber isolators, and a d-ring. If just want the mounts so you can add your own shackle, then a Shackle Mount Only Kitis available for that.

Some cutting required: Please note that for installation of this kit, some cutting of your rubber filler panel is required.

Just installed these on a 2021 Tremor. Modification is required to the front holes on the skid plate. I had to drill a new hole on the passenger side since the hole location was off by about 3/8 inward and 1/2" towards the rear. Both hole locations are probably off but I chose to bias towards one side rather than drill two holes.

Same story here. The holes do not line up. I ended up cutting some more space in the rear slots to allow my skid to slide further back. Pretty shoddy measurements by Rough Country, but maybe not too shocking.

I found this thread while preparing to install these on my 22 Tremor. I biased both RC brackets inboard before torquing them down. That took care of the left/right hole alignment. Then a few gentle taps on the back of the brackets with 4 lb hammer fixed the fore/aft alignment. No skid plate mods required. I left the OE rubber trim pieces off for now, but I'll probably trim them and reinstall down the road.

EDIT: 4 lb hammer

Am I crazy or do these affect your approach angle? Seems like they sit lower than the stock recovery points.

I remove the rings when I’m off road. Otherwise no more than a single degree.
