Retired, work is a four letter word.
I put my used oil in the actual containers the oil came in. If OP is sure about that, then the old oil wouldn't even fill a 5qt. jug. And that ain't riiight.
I do the same, drain pan well, change filter, add 6 quarts, run engine for 30 seconds, oil level on the exact top of hash marks, and old oil fills the empties to the marks I made with a sharpie. Truck has no leaks and does not burn enough for me to notice.

not sure it was 2 quarts. Just made an assumption. I’ll check again soon. Yeah I’m sure I don’t have 2 gaskets. Man yaw must deal with idiots often. Some of these responses kill me.
It’s the internet man, you just never know! ?

This guy has zero problems with his Ranger. Every thread has wild claims with zero proof. He/She/It/They whatever is a troll and @AzScorpion you should ban this knucklehead.
I’m actually not a troll. Never even lived under a bridge. But my truck is a giant piece of shit and the dealership in my area doesn’t have a sober mechanic to work on it. So I’m having to do it all myself.

See? There it sits, broke down. Next to my brand new truck that I replaced it with. After I fix it, I’m going to use it as a hunting truck, that’s about all its good for.

I don’t even know what that stupid shit is
Catch can is like a spittoon for the engine.
Damper is a waste of money for a tailgate accessory.
Does that kinda clear things up? ?

that damned Chevrolet I bought had some kind of feature on it that made the tailgate slowly come down. It wouldn’t open fast enough for me, I like to drop it because I’m usually in a hurry. But I figured out, if you use all your strength and slamming the tailgate down as hard as you can that the stupid dampener will break.

Thank goodness I don’t have to worry about that trash anymore. The only spitoon I need is the one I spit my redman into.

Well from the looks of things you bought an XL Ranger with the STX Package(AKA the Cheap ASS Package). Also if you refuse to take it into the Dealer to have it looked at especially if under warranty then I don't know what to tell you.

Also you have yet to answer my question of what brand oil filter you are using.

about 93 posts ago I mentioned the oil filter brand name.

if you haven’t read my last thread about the transmission, I have had an appointment scheduled at the dealership for several months. They keep pushing it back because their mechanics keep getting fired or quitting.

everything you just asked of me has already been mentioned. I just didn’t want to type it again.

93 posts ago and yet only 60 posts total. Is that common core math at work? Also I haven't looked at your other threads and that is why I asked here.

Okay @NCHilbilly, the reasons I believe you are trolling are:

1. You only complain, and don't provide proof of your issues. You just have pictures of a Ranger.

2. You claim these issues but don't take any steps to solve them yourself or with the help of members on here.

3. Your issues are not common at all. I have never heard of a bad wheel bearing yet, and especially never heard "The body of these trucks is pretty substantial and the suspension is great from the factory". It is widely agreed that the sheet metal is thin and the factory suspension is crap.

4. Now you have a problem with Motorcraft oil filters specifically? Yeah, this screams troll to me.

5. If your truck drinks 2 quarts, it's done. Take it to the dealer. What are you doing complaining on here?

Once again. Everything just said has already been brought up. Just because I’m not sending you pictures of everything I do, does that mean it didn’t happen? I’m sorry I don’t involve you in my daily life. Did you not read the part about me having an appointment with a dealer for several months to fix all this shit?

It’s like trying to argue with someone that doesn’t understand their own abilities to not comprehend things. It ain’t possible.

A Tacoma bed is made out of plastic. Coming from that, this is substantial.

I never said I had a problem with the filters, I said I question them.

The suspension more specifically the payload, is what I was referencing when I said that. A Tacoma squats with 300 pounds, the ranger can haul 800 with ease. You might be confusing my definition of good suspension with ride quality, but I don’t give a damn about that. I care about working and hauling and reliability.

All of your points are pointless.
