Hi all

Wanted to find out if anyone can explain a sound that I have heard on most of my diesel trucks.

On my T7 Facelift 2.2, at exactly 2000rpm the engine starts making a slightly different sound up to 2500rpm. Usually only in 3rd gear - 6th gear. Best I can describe the sound is the usual engine sound with slight ticks that match every cylinder, but its noticeable. It does not necessarily sound bad, but I am just curious.

Thanks!

Unfortunately I cant say much since we dont have the Diesel here in the States wich is lame if you ask me. Depending on your mileage this may or may not be part of the normal operation of that particular engine. My suggestion is to take it to your local dealership and take a test drive with a technician so they know what the noise is and they can compare it to another truck. There might even be a bulletin for this particular deal.

That is my input and i hope it helps.
