No need for 14 different models. Heck the Bronco has 7 and that's more than enough. Keep it simple and have 3.... a base, a mid and lux after that you can mod it to the way you desire.

Looks like Rangers in the Philippines are like CJ Jeeps here, most are just trim and paint/decal packages.

I personally hate the bloat of models.

Give me 2 to 4 trim levels for easy grouping and make everything else a standalone option.

The various trim levels are part of the Bronco launches' bust.

Sad that all these variant models always pop up in foreign countries before the debut in the US.

Kind of looks like a Tremor without the graphics.

Winner winner chicken dinner.

Edit: I hate to say it, but they are very rice-a-roni from my anecdotal searches of truck enthusiast over there. Everything from giant hood fake vent stickers to everything in-between. They do however make some nice low key cosmetic upgrades like headlight surround bezels.

Hi Folks,

Here we go again.... When I hired into Ford we had in F Series 100, 250 350 And we had trim levels Custom, XL and XLT. The an array of options with caveats. You could not get super cool radiator unless you got an upgraded trans cooler...except not avail on XL..... and so on and so on.....Customers hated this menu....Sort of like the fancy restaurant with a 200 bottle wine list...

So we started grouping things into packages to make things easier for the customer to order. Up side is the caveats are minimized and the downside is folks get features they do not need or want.

Bronco is trending in the pendulum swinging back to the plethora of options. Sheesh....

best,

1) XL
2) XL STX (I consider this more than a package.)
3) XLT
4) Lariat

5) Tremor - Also think it’s fair to at least consider the Tremor to be an additional trim level.

And since you can buy ready-built FPP Rangers:
6) Level 1
7) Level 2
8) Level 3

Maybe the FX2 should be considered and how many different “appearance packages” are there? Would these all be classified as different models in other countries?

Oh and I forgot; double that bc SCAB & SCREW (except SCREW only on Tremor).

Oh no, its the same stuff at most restaurants. The food choices are horrible for foreigners. Its like every store from hardware to Food carry the same products.

As for the the trims. They dont offer near the capacities of different model Fords here. They just started selling F150s and its only two high end variants. The Rangers are the most affordable for most, so they are able to offer different trims to support that. The average person can either buy an Everest, Ranger/Raptor, Ecosport and thats it. Also the new Territory.

YOu can buy an overpriced Explorer, Expedition, New F150 Or Mustang. The percentage of people to be in the market for those is very very low.

I dont know about Australia ;)

It seems to be the trend currently. Go to Ridgeline or Tacoma build and price. They have several models with different equipment combinations, very few factory options, and endless catalogs of dealer installs.

I guess they look a line from Porsche with their 911 or Panamera lol

The 911 (992) has 15 variants currently (still missing the GTS versions which would add 3 more as well as the 3RS and 2RS). The Panamera has an eye watering 21 variants ?

While I understand that it would be complete chaos to allow it, I've always wished I could just pick and choose everything that I did or didn't want on a vehicle. I hate the fact that if you add something you want, it may cause the removal of something else because you can't mix "packages." This is probably the reason I have never ordered a new vehicle, before this truck, and have always just bought off the lot.
