“New” OEM engine covers

Happy new engine cover day! We’re finally here! Mamma Ford has bestowed us with new engine covers straight from her teet for sky high jacked up prices! Comes with a new letter (-C) and a new price tag but don’t worry it’s “discounted”.

*Also, I’ve seen it mentioned that the TSB for getting a free one has been been pulled so don’t go pouring water on your plugs outside the dealership yet.

The discount is more than the original one cost. But they do muffle engine noise somewhat, and shield the plugs. Don't forget the mounting hardware! Can't remember what they're called, there should be a link on the description page, or call the customer service number. It wasn't included when I got mine, maybe it is now.

I’ll live with a cover-less engine and deal with it. I like looking at the engine when the hood’s up anyway

I have a 22 XLT which of course does not have the cover.

do I really need it? During rain and after washing my truck I look at the spark plug area and don’t have a water issue.

But think of the little mice and chipmunks that need a place to live.

Take a used 2019 or 2020 Lariat for a test drive. Pull over & pop the engine cover off and hand it to a waiting accomplice . Easy-peazy! ? (just kidding)

Well, if you have the water issue covered by the TSB, the dealer should not charge you to resolve it while under warranty, even if the parts to do so have gone up drastically in price.

Must have tiny mouse hammock attachement points underneath, to keep the mice dry from that water-filling plug action.
