- I installed the ReTrax roll box cover because it has the "T" slots for cross bars. Then made up my own mounts and cross bars out of 6061 Aluminum. Have a set for Kayak Mounts, a set for 2 Mountain Bike Mounts, and a set for carrying cross-country skis in the winter. I needed some light under the cover, so I got an LED light set that had 8 lights, then mounted them around under the box sill and wired to a small recessed switch with an LED that I mounted into the drivers side tail gate pillar. I can use the switch with either tail gate or roll cover open.
